Late Bloomers - online meet-ups

from CA$30.00

Maybe you have a creative interest that you never have time for. Or you wish you had more inspiration to make stuff. Or maybe you’re swimming in neglected art supplies… LATE BLOOMERS might just be the kick in the butt you need! This is a weekly online gathering for anyone who wants to carve time out of their schedule to work on a creative hobby. This is NOT about hustle, output, the final product, nor is this an art instruction class. What it is:

  • WHO: For anyone looking to (1) slow down, and (2) reconnect: with themselves, others, and your preferred creative hobby. This is an offering geared to adults.

  • WHAT: This is about learning how to prioritize what is creatively fulfilling to you, and working on new habits that you’ll continue after the meet-ups end. We'll be a small group, hopefully 8-12 people.

  • WHERE + WHEN? On Zoom, every Tuesday evening from 7-8:30pm EST, starting April 14 and ending May 12, 2026 (video replays available for a week after each session; note that this means all meet-ups will be recorded).

  • WHY? Because too often, I hear people say that they don't have time to do creative stuff, that they miss an old hobby, or that they want to take up something new. And because, with the state of things as they are, I think it's all the more important to take moments to connect, to create, and to put good stuff out into the world. I'd love to help you figure out a way to do this on a continuing basis.

  • WHY "Late Bloomers"?: "Late" as in Late in the day, a bit Late in the year (ie. I'd hoped to launch this in January 😂), and also because it's never too Late to return to a hobby or pick up a new one. "Bloomers" because we're creating and growing!

  • HOW much? Suggested cost is $50 for 5 weeks. Choose “Discount” if the suggested price is prohibitive, or “Pay-it-forward” to help keep sessions like these affordable.

What is expected of you?

  • When you check out, you will have a form to fill out; this helps me understand where you’re coming from before we start our gatherings.

  • For each session, bring pen & paper (journal, if you prefer), and supplies for your creative medium of choice.

  • I will be emailing you PDFs that you can choose to print out and use at our meet-ups.

What will the sessions be like?

  • For the first 75 minutes, I will lead a discussion, go through exercises, and provide actionable items, sometimes using the PDFs I’ve provided you. Topics may include habits, goal-setting, distractions, inspiration, priorities, intention, imposter syndrome, and more. My resources include podcasts, books, and lots of my own trial & error experiences.

  • For the last 15 minutes, everyone works on their own creative projects, showing & telling if they want, and cheering each other on.

About me: Most of the art I create boils down to wanting to make connections with whoever sees it. I have found ways to always make sure I take the time to make art in a consistent and meaningful way, and I would love to help you prioritize and finetune that kind of creative practice — for yourself, and as a means to connecting with others if you’d like. Since Feb 2024, I have led an online group that continues to meet regularly; we have covered a huge range of topics from parenting to Stoicism, from boundaries to preparing for death. Through this, I've learned that I love gathering with like-minded people to talk about real life stuff. The idea for Late Bloomers grew from this, and wanting to talk specifically about staying creative!

Give yourself some space and time to get your creativity flowing, be in the moment, and hopefully hone some new habits to continue afterwards.

I will send you the Zoom information by email after your purchase.
Please be sure to check your junk folder if you don’t see my note in your inbox! :)

Hope to see you there!
